Kids Art Talks FAQs
  • Yes! Our age groups are just a guide and help us to create programming that is age appropriate, however our programs are process driven and eat child makes it their own. Feel free to sign your children up for the night that works best for you!

  • Our programs can get messy, and that’s the way we prefer it! We do offer aprons and paint smocks, however, please send your child in clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy.

  • All sales are final; however, we do offer studio credit if your child is unable to attend a workshop and you give us at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • If your child is ill and cannot make it to art class, we do offer a makeup class within the 6-week block your child is registered for. This might be another night during the same week or attending two nights in one week. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up classes once the new sessions begin.

  • Our studio provides all necessary materials and tools to complete the session unless we otherwise state before registration. Please send your child with a water bottle if they would like.

  • Yes, it is mandatory for all our staff and adult volunteers to have police checks completed and submitted to management. We have Jr Youth Leaders as well; however, these students will never be left unattended with the children and do not require police checks.

  • Absolutely. There will always be at least one staff on site with a current First Aid and CPR certificate.

  • Our art clubs focus on process art and allowing the children to use their own interpretation of our project challenges to create their final art piece. We offer ideas and inspiration; however, we allow the children full creative freedom. Our workshops are project focused and the children are strongly encouraged to complete the project as lead by the instructor.

  • We want all our visitors to feel welcome and comfortable at the studio and this sometimes means children want their parents to stay with them. We allow parents to stay, however we ask that parents stay in the front room of our studio to allow room for instructors and children to move freely around our art room. For privacy and security reasons and our inability to have police checks completed by every parent, it’s important to respect boundaries.

  • We don’t mind if you want to snap a quick photo of your child during a class, however the photo must only be of your child and not contain a face of any other participants. Our studio asks for parental consent before posting any images online, and we ask that you respect the privacy of others.
